What is VISA Components%3F How to use that%3F

Hello everyone,

                           I am a beginner for labview, so I want to know clearly about VISA components and how to use it? Please help me to learn labview

VISA is an api for communicating to GPIB, Ethernet, USB, RS-232, PCI. The most commonly used functions are a write and a read. There are several examples that you can look at. There are a couple of examples for serial communication and there is an instrument driver for the Agilent 34401 DMM. There is a tutorial on basic instrument communication that you should review.
