Hi,
I have came across the SimDev1 device name but never understood what the point of it is. I am currently waiting for my IO card to arrive, so I want to know if I somehow can use SimDev1 device to simulate the behavior of the inputs of my IO card? Thanks in advance.

Hi sallo_93,
SimDev1 is a simulate device used to show an example of how a device may appear in MAX which can then be used in LabVIEW.
You can therefore create a multitude of simulated devices that you can use simulate I/O cards.
The following shows you how to create simulated devices: http://www.ni.com/tutorial/3698/en/
The document then outlines how to use the simulated device
Kind Regards,
Matt
