What Is the Maximum Gate Frequency for a Buffered Operation Using the AT-MIO16E-10

What is the maximum gate frequency for a buffered counting using the AT-MIO16E-10 board (DAQ-STC)?

I am using a 20MHz internal time-base on counter 0 with gate frequency ranging between 5Hz and 100KHz. At larger gate frequencies I get an error message saying that my system is not fast enough to read from the buffer. Would upgrading my 200MHz Pentium with 64Mb of RAM solve this issue or is it more complex than that?

Thank you for your help.

Dmitry,

Check your DAQ Manual. This could be a simple matter of configuration. Be sure that you are reading the buffer properly (DMA) and often enough. Don't read it too often though (read operations should NOT occur in high speed acquisitions on a point by point basis.) Try buffering as well.

Good luck
