Wayne Kerr 3260B

I have a Wayne Kerr 3260B analyzer unit and im trying to interface it using LV2011. I recently requested for an upconvert for the latest driver files and yes, i believe i have the latest driver files.

When i try to run the Initialize.vi or any other vi, im getting Error : 1074003951.

I referred to the following links:

http://www.ni.com/support/labview/visa/verr1.htm

http://www.ni.com/support/labview/visa/vsteps.htm

When i set the ID Check to false, i get Error 1073807300.

Is this a problem with a version of the VI?

I have attached the files i downloaded from the VI Upconvert forum.

Thank you,

Eureka

The first error is clearly from the driver. It's telling you that the instrument's response to the *IDN? query indicated that it is not a PMA3260. Have you looked at the *IDN? response via MAX? Perhaps there was a firmware change in the instrument and its ID changed. If so, you can either change the driver to change the text it's looking for, or simply don't perform an ID check.

The second error may be caused if you have too many open sessions. See here: http://www.ni.com/support/labview/visa/verr5.htm

smercurio_fc,

Its actually fixed,

First of all, none of the VIs had a VISA close, so, multiple sessions were open. And, the VISA open function was an old version. It had to be replaced with the VISA open for LV 2011. The most important part was the VISA session. May be because this design is too old or something, it did not have a VISA session, it instead had a GPIB number. In the Initialize.vi, i had to replace the GPIB connection with a VISA session and change/remove few other functions.

Now, im able to communicate with the instrument. Let me see how far im able to do this,

Thank you,

Eureka
