Want to create a modal VI

I everybody,
I just need to display a modal VI, to inform the user when a device is not connected. And when the device is connected (don't know exactly when), the information user VI must close & comming back to the main VI. (Testing the device connection in parallel).

You could create a vi with a front panel that displays your message and just a while loop in the diagram so it continuously runs. Then set to be modal under VI Properties>>Window Appearance. You can open and close it using the vi server from the main vi.
