VLC plug-in in event structure

Hi All

In the attached Vi, I am attempting the following

1. Use the panel to scroll through two pages of a TAB control, using a mouse down event....working

2. After preset timeout return to page 1 of TAB control.....working

3. VLC plugin located on page 2 of TAB control.....easy enough

I am stuck with trying to:

1. Run player AUTOMATICALLY when user mouse downs to scroll forward to second page of TAB control

2. If user mouse downs again while the movie is playing, the player will stop and TAB control reverts to first page

3. If player is left unhindered by the user  and the movie is allowed to complete, the player then stops AUTOMATICALLY and tab control moves back to first page of control

4. Set the player to use full screen for viewing

I think I am on the right track.

Would somebody with a good understanding of LV have a look and make some suggestions as to the best means to do this.

Some caveats are:

1. Code is almost complete, so there is no flexibility in rewriting the lot (this vi is only a small part of the rest) to someone elses flavour

2. Use of mouse down to control scrolling is non-negotiable

3. The only allowable user control is the left-hand mouse button (actually is a momentary switch on the hardware)

4. I have not attached a movie file, but I suspect most readers would have one lying around on the hard disk

Any help will be appreciated
