VISA Resource Name problems with reading COM

Hi all,

I've a problem with the "VISA Resource Name" Front Panel Object in Labview 8.2 :

If there is a "VISA Resource Name" object on the front panel and I push the icon for the drop down list on the object, the list only contains a "Refresh" entry instead of the available COMs of my PC!?

I think, normally if I push the icon for the drop down list on the "VISA Resource Name" object, there should appear the COMs of my PC, or?

Operating System:

32 bit - Windows Vista Business

Used Programs:

NI VISA 4.0

LV 8.2

Can anybody help me?

VISA 4.0 is not supported on Vista. Try upgrading to 4.1. All of yor drivers need to be upgraded when you move to Vista.
