VIPM "Unable to locate the Labview runtime engine"

I'm running into an issue where when I attempt to open VIPM it says "Unable to locate the Labview runtime engine" and gives me the option of installing it. I have done so, but to no avail.

This has likely happened because I (stupidly) manually deleted Labview 8.0 files and installed Labview 2011. I think that VIPM is looking for the Labview 8.0 runtime engine but cannot find it. Is there a way to clean up or fully uninstall my Labview 8.0 install, or a way to point VIPM to look for the Labview 2011 runtime engine?

That sounds like an issue. Have you tried the JKI knowledge base (http://support.jki.net/categories/20020278-VIPM) and forums? They are the developers of VIPM and have a subforum setup just for problems/issues with it.

I would just install the latest version of VIPM (http://jki.net/vipm).  I beleive it now installs the needed LabVIEW RTE automatically, instead of having a separate install.

If your VIPM is using the LabVIEW 8.0 RTE, then it is really old.  Definately just upgrade.

Hi @Homericus!. Did you find any solution for your above mentioned problem? I would like to know how did you resolve it as I'm also facing the same issue with my LabVIEW 2011 and VIPM.

Thanks in advance.
