Using multiple NI-9148 expansion chassis with cRIO-9074

Hello. I wish to add two or more NI-9148 chassis with C-series modules to a cRIO-9074 chassis / controller to increase the number data acquisition & control channels. Does any one have experience doing this? I see the NI-9148 cannot be daisy chained so I guess a ethernet hub is needed if it can be done.

Thanks, Bill

I haven't done exactly what you're describing, but you should be able to open references to as many remote devices as you wish as long as they are on the network.

Also note that since communication to the 9148 is over standard ethernet, it's not deterministic. You'll be able to implement control in the FPGA, but if you need deterministic communciation to your cRIO, you should look at either EtherCAT (NI-9144) or MXIe expansion with a cRIO-908x.
