Using Wavelets to detect jumps in a signal

Hi,

I have attached a VI where i'm trying to detect jumps in an a piece of data. I've recently downloaded the advanced signaling processing toolkit from NI, but i haven't found out how i could use this with to aquire better "onset and offset" detection on my signal... Does anyone have experience with that?

Sorry for the mess in my vi but it's a rough draft...

Best regards,

Thijs

Hi Thijs,

From what I can see in your VI you are able to detect the peaks with the "Peak Detector.vi".

What is the issue you observe, when using this, so you would like to find another approach? Is there a specific reason for which this VI is not a solution for you?

Best,

Bozhidar

Hi,

I would like another approach, because this technique doesn't always work the way i wanted it to... I thought that a wavelet is a better way to do some sort of pattern matching. But i don't know how the wavelets work?

Best regards,

Thijs
