Using Beckhoff CX-2040 as an Ethercat Slave

Solved!
Go to solution

*All the tests have been made with LV21 32bits.*
I am trying to connect BeckHoff Modules to cRIO-9039 using it as an Ethercat Master. I followed the instructions of NI.com and I imported the xml regarding to the vendor (success). When I try to detect the devices LV21 does not recognise the modules. Instaling them in offline mode I can see  all vendor modules but I do not know the correct tree typology I must follow.

My beckhoff model is the CX2040 and I connect the cRIO to it extension EK1122 module. However I need to connect first a previous level . I tried with the CX2040 but it did not work. Do I need a Beckhoff coupler?

I would like to know why I can not identify the devices connected directly to the cRIO and how to establish a correct typology in my ethercat slave.

Thank you in advance.

Hi  cmartinez11,

For correct typology and for configuration I have found an article, where you can find some answers in there and configure your EtherCAT communication.

Also go through this article for setting up the computer and module for use.

Try to follow step-by-step.

Regards
