Ultrabook-CRIO connection

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a Vaio Pro, but it does not have an Ethernet connector. Sony provides a wireless solution like this:

SONY VGP-WAR100 for VAIO Duo13

If I connect the cRIO in this device port, can I configue it without problems? Has somebody done this?

I want to know it before I buy it.

Thank you

Hi vitrion good morning:

You can connect cRIOs to any wireless router and configure them correctly. We haven´t worked with this particular Wireless Router, but based on the specifications on Sony´s internet page it is a regular wireless router. You can use any wireless router to configure your cRIO.

Hope this works.

Have a great day

Hi. It's me again. I finally bought the WiFi router. I connected the cRIO to the router and tried to connect the Vaio Pro to that network. I doesn't work. No device is detected. What can you suggest me?
Thanks

Hi vitrion:

-Disable antivirus and Windows Firewall

-Use a Crossover Cable and press the reset button on the cRIO for more than 5 seconds to reset the network configurations. If your cRIO has a dip switch activate the IP Reset switch and reset then return the switch to off.

-Check the Network configuration on the ethernet port. DHCP or try a static adress: 192.168.1.X

Check the getting started guide.

I'd like to use the Ethernet port, but remember my Vaio has not one. I bought a wireless router which converts the Ethernet into WiFi. I'll try all what you recommend
