The log files will show up in the destination directory that you are building to. As a general note about this issue, the fix is now included in LabVIEW 2013 SP1, available through NI Update Service and on the web at - http://www.ni.com/download/labview-development-system-2013-sp1/4527/en/

If you copy the attached file to Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2013\vi.lib\AppBuilder\Engine\ and replace the file there with the same name, you should be able to build an installer.
Just an FYI This worked for me. I did have newest version of LV 2013 (Yes I have a project still stuck on it)
