Troubles with the Counter VI

I'm using the "Count time or events" vi supplied in LabView. (NI Support recommended
that I use this instead of an example VI called "Count Time-Easy") The problem
is that when I set the counter string to 0 or 1 (like I was told) I kept
getting an error message: "10401, error occured at CTR control. The driver
does not support the device or the device has not been configured." I am
a beginner programmer, so this message means little to me. Any help would
be appreciated.

I've emailed PJM about this problem, and using the millisecond timer to
show elapsed time works better than using a counter. He wanted to find
the elapsed time from the beginning of an acquisition, and terminate the
acquisition after a user-specified amount of time. He was told to use
the counter for this, but couldn't get it to work.

Upon emailing the VI to me, it was obvious that using the millisecond
timer, for his application, was a better solution given the resolution
of the time he wanted. Therefore, he used it.
