Tick box "include Serial Port Support" missing in 8.1

In version 7.1, I recall a tick box when building an application that read "include Serial Port Support". Why is this missing in 8.x? I like the idea of making a very small installer having only serial port support.

If i understood correctly, whant you wanna do in labview 8 it's deploy your application to a PC that it doesn't has the labview installed.

For that you have to create an installer. And in here you should had at least 2 runtimes. The labview and Visa. See the attached picture.
