The IP of SVE

Dear Support,

We have 2 ip in one NIC on the server with SVE.(One is fixed, the other is moving ip for redundancy switchover, that is we need to use)

But in the client side, only one ip is valid to visit SVE on server.

Any suggestion?

We found one setting: Project->My Computer->property->IP.

We tried to set the ip as our preference, but still not work. That is ut will deploy the SVE with a fixed ip.

Any suggestion?

Now we are using the changing IP method. When the server take over in the case of failover, it will release its original ip and change to a ip for all the data target. But after do this changing, the share varible link seems will break. Any suggestion?

Hello Turbot,

National Instruments strongly suggests using only one IP address.  Your shared variables are breaking because they cannot connect to the IP address to which they were deployed. 

Also, although the discussion forums are monitored by the applications engineering department, this forum was created so customers could contact each other.  If you are looking to talk with support, you should go to www.ni.com/ask but there is no need to address support in your forum post.
