Temperature rise up/down timing

Hi There,

I have this temperature controller application which works very well. I set the two points and the controller heats the device by injection current through and then enable the fans to cool down.

They are relative fast cycles and I would like to time how fast the temperature reaches the top set limit and how long takes to cool down to the lower set limit.

It is not an PID design so the temperature overshoots by few degrees but it does not mater.

I have attached the application and a shot screen of the graph.

The timing does not have to be critical.

Sorry, I haven't looked at your attachments, but have you looked into the Elapsed Time Express VI (even though I don't like Express VIs ...) in the Timing Palette?  Do you understand how Data Flow works well enough to use the simple Tick Count function at the beginning and at the end time, do a subtraction, and convert the result (representing seconds) into a Time Unit of your choice?
