Table Control with Drop Down Menu in LabVIEW

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi All,

Anybody know how to create a cell with a drop down menu in a table control?  There is one example below.  I've not tried to build it yet, but I have my doubt because it that you cannot put a ring control on top of a table control, even while manipulating its position with properties.  Anybody know more about this?  If I build this exactly as shown, are rings suddenly able to be on top of tables?

Why not? You can put any control on top of any other control. You may need to change their Z-order (see the Reorder drop down in the toolbar).

Ctrl+Shift+K once with the control selected, or

Ctrl+Shift+J once with the table selected.

Or

Ctrl+K until on front with the control selected, or

Ctrl+J until behind the control once with the table selected.

This simply invokes the menu items Paola mentioned:

Try this

"If you weren't supposed to push it, it wouldn't be a button."

Hi All,

Thank you.  I wasn't aware of the "Z-Order".  That did it.
