Hi everybody,
Is there any way I could read a .mp4 file from myRIO and stream it through network over to the PC? There is a USB storage device hooked up with myRIO (a usb SD card reader) which consists of .mp4 video files which I need to view remotely via a local network. I know about network streaming functions but not sure if there's any toolkit/module that could handle .mp4 video files.
Regards.

Hi NapDynamite,
I think it should be possible. Take a look at this toolkit and see if this handles your needs.

Can you just FTP the file over? What about WebDav? That would allow you to map a network drive on the PC to a folder on the myRIO.

This is a nice toolkit. But I have a limited knowledge base on video codecs and objects/methods used in this toolkit. Also the toolkit has poor documentation and ships with no examples no start with.
I have emailed them. Let's see I get a reply.

Hi Hooovah,
This sounds like a good option. Will definitely try this.
Any problems I face on this solution will be posted as new topic.
Thanks.
