Strange VIs with long names

Hi,

As a result of building a Teststand installer part of my VIs was saved with names as shown below:

03EE2D0991E864B14FDA7E7EF60E813D,

0447C34EE3100F8D5DCF2C621476D229,

28BAE0BCBEE1953D0E2CACCB2A2EA956

I'm assuming that they are VIs because the size is similar, they are pulled by other (normal) VIs, when I delete them my application doesn't work (LV error: LV couldn't find the subVIs: 03EE2D0991E864B14FDA7E7EF60E813D...).  For sure I did not create them. They were created by LabVIE.

Does anybody have an idea what was wrong? Why these VIs were copied? Why these VIs have that strange name? Why these VIs don't have the vi extention? How the get rid of them?

Hello MimiKLM,

The installer building procedure will generate these files with these names so that they have a unique ID.

These files are necessary for the installer and you shouldn't delete them.

Once you extract your installer onto a new target, all of these files should revert back to your original VIs and their names.

I hope this helps,

Kind Regards,
