Stack Fault v6i

I just installed LabView 6i on a Windows 98 machine. I'm trying to verify that it is functioning. I click on the icon to start LabView, the splash screen comes up, then I get the following error:

LabView caused a stack fault in module LABVIEW.EXE at 015f:0870996.

It then gives a memory dump.

I have already run Norton Utilities to check the registry and for any disk problems, but they did not reveal anything. What else can I try?

Thanks.

While not I have not seen this particular problem, one thing to make sure is that you have the 6.0.2 upgrade, available at:
http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/954feaeea92d90918625674b00658b83/f983bda17b8f401b862569ec005a11c2?OpenDocument
or by searching the NI web site using "LabVIEW 6.0.2 upgrade".

Good luck.

Upgrading to 6.0.2 is a good idea but I am concerned there is a larger problem with the install. I would completely remove LabVIEW from the computer and try a reinstall. If this does not work goto www.ni.com/ask to get help from techincal support.
