Some problem with setup of GPIB?

Hi all,

when I am set up the GPIB I found some problem:

1, Just after I hit the comunicate with the Instrument button, I can send, write the strings

 to the instrument and then can read the strings from the instrument. But after a little long time,

the comunication will stop and I have to re hit the comunicate with the instrument button again.

what is the problem?

2, what is the difference between the GPIB address and instrument address?

To your questions:

1. You didn't provide enough information. What instrument are you using? Are you using your own VIs? Are you using a driver? If so, where did you get this driver? Is it a native LabVIEW driver? Is it an IVI driver?
