Scaling AD8495 Amp

Solved!
Go to solution

Having a case of the Math Mondays.

Formula for converting voltage from AD8495 Temperature amplifier is:

Vo=T*5mV+1.5V

OR

T=(Vo-1.25)/5mV

I am able to apply the second formula to acquired measurements, and it appears to be scaling as it should.

The trouble I am having is converting this to LabVIEW Linear Scale.  I just can't seem to manipulate the formula correctly.

Is it possible to create a Scale in Max that uses this formula?

y = mx +b

Vo= 5mv * T +1.5V
m is .005  b is 1.5

T=(Vo-1.25)/5mv

T=Vo/.005  -1.25/.005

T= 200 Vo + -250

m is 200  b is -250

Those two equations are NOT equivalent to each other either both are 1.5V  or both are 1.25V
