Sb-RIO 9623 serial port communication

I am currently configuring my Sb-RIO 9623 to transmit strings through its COM port, which is using a RS232, using the attached VI. However, while I am running the VI with a oscilloscope connected to the transmit and signal ground pins, there is not pulse signals. Have I connected my VISA correctly in the VI? or are there other errors in the VI that I am unaware of.

Any of your serial functions could be erroring out and we would never know. I would at least recommend probing the error wires to see what is happening.
