I have a problem during an INSERT in a SQL Server 2005 database. I get a timeout because another computer fetches data from the citadel db which is also running on the host where the sql query is executed. It seems that the Citadel archiving process reserves the whole capacity of the host and that the sql-query has no time to be executed.
That's interesting: are you saying that you have one machine hosting two databases (one SQL Server, one Citadel) and only one of these can be accessed at one time?
Yes exactly - one host for a citadel and sql-server 2005 database - and during achiving data from citadel to another host no querys on the sql-server database are possible.
I'd like to resemble your issue on my computer, so please provide us with some more details:
1. You're archiving the Citadel database as explained on http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/E076A0661E03F1EB862571A800079E7B?OpenDocument, right?
2. Can you reproduce the behavior when you do both the Citadel archiving and the SQL Server querying locally on the same machine?
