Using:
cRIO-9035
NI Linux RT x64 5.10.83-rt58
Currently, we are trying to set an .exe as a start up application, and it is required for us to make changes to root in order to implement the application. We are prompted to enter a password for what we assume is the admin, but our admin password is rejected. Is there a different password to create changes in root? Or am I missing something?
Thanks!

Typically, unless you (or someone else) set the Admin Password, it is <CR>, i.e. a "blank" password (just type "Return"). Of course, once someone entere a Password, it is set, and "unsetting" it can be difficult ...

Hi Bob,
We have set the password and we are able to access password-restricted features for the cRIO, but cannot access anything in root or as superuser.

I believe you login as "admin" with your admin password to get superuser, not as root:
