Ring / Enum Item editor. Is this Right?

OK so its mostly cosmetic and only a development hassel but, I would love it if the display properties were respected in the item editor rather than just plain old semi ignored.  To wit: Significant digits appears fixed and Scientific Notation Exponent in multiple of threes is just plain not observed.

I guess the property only applies to the text field (Items), not the Values property. It's something for Idea Exchange though!

Text is text. Value formatting in the items editor just plain doesn't seem to respond to formatting instructions any more than a puppy that hasn't yet been trained.  There have been a few IE threads about fixing the items editor.  I authored some of them. 

Like I said, I'd rather NI fixed problems that my clients can see but dammit! that items editor really gets under my skin sometimes
