I am not directly measuring the current. I use lem lts 6-np (which is a hall effect sensor).

I heard the current limit is around 0.243 A (for the NI 6008 card) for Analog Input.

Then why did you ask for current limit capabilities of the USB6008?

Hi Gerd,

High current flow (from solar panels) to the DAQ will damage the DAQ device, so wanted to know whether the DAQ device limits the current flow to it. But now I understood that it is the voltage that matters. If the voltage is within + or -10v (on each pin) the device wont be damaged.

which current flow are you worried about? The current through your current sensor has nothing in common with the current through your USB6008 AI pins!

Again: read the manual of your devices! And: Gain some basic knowledge on physics…
