I made a mess with the font settings.
What are the default values and how can I reset them?

In lv6 go to Tools > Options > Fonts , check "use default" for every main font and restart labview ...
or
try to delete font related entries in labview.ini
or
use labview.ini file from another computer (assuming that you have the same LV and similar settings (except fonts) on the other machine)

Hope I understood the problem
