Real-Time -- Porting VI from cFP to cRIO? (Cross-posted to LabVIEW Real-Time Idea Exchange)

Has anyone ported a real-time VI originally targetted to cFP to install on cRIO?

I have an older control program, main VI and subVIs built in LV 8.6 and run on a compact FieldPoint controller.

I would like to be able to use much of it on a cRIO-9036 or something similar.

I am wondering whether LabVIEW (2015 or so) will do the work for me.

I'm not sure if anything will to the modifications automatically, but unless it uses some feature unique to the cFP, it should be very straightforward -- especially if you can use the Scan Engine to read the IO. That comment also assumes that the code was reasonably well written.

On the whole, I would be more concerned about changes between LV 8.6 and 2015.
