Reading Excel files with report generator

I wanted to know if there is an easy way to open excel files for reading using the report generator toolbox. I can't find any example on the net on how to do this.

i´m not sure if you can read data from Excel using the "Report Generation Toolkit", but please see this thread,

there are lots of examples.

What does the excel file contain? Decimals? Tables?
