I'm having difficulty getting Labview to read from an RS-485 instrument. It
is a temp controller. I can send 'set temp' type commands without problem.
However when I do a 'temp request' (i.e. send a command and then receive a
reply) it is somewhat unreliable.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the TX side of the RS-485 not going
high impedance while listening to the response?
Any suggestions anyone please? I seem to get best results sending the
command, then doing a serial break for 200ms and then use 'bytes at port'
and 'read serial' vi pair.
Thanks
Richard
ps 120Ohm terminators at both ends etc all checked.
