Hi umer,

why don't you call your local NI sales rep?

Please collect other needed specs before doing so! (Like: voltage levels, pulse speeds, etc.)

General answer: any DI module supporting counters…

Best regards,
GerdW

Hi umer,

this one is listed as "counter module", but please call your local NI sales rep to discuss other options!

Hi umer,

the NI9361 supports upto 1MHz at its inputs!

You need to calculate your pulse rate from specified max rpm and the number of pulses you need to count per revolution…

Example: at 10000rpm and 360ppr (pulse per revolution, typical value for encoders) you need to count pulses at 3600000, so this would be too much for this module. But when you use an encoder with just 60ppr it will be fine!

Again: collect all your specs before calling the sales guy!

Best regards,
GerdW

Care to try that again?  You are talking about hotter than the sun (5,778 Kelvin).

Hi umer,

to measure temperatures of upto 1500°C you can use thermocouples.

Pick a suitable type (type S is quite common), then check for a suitable DAQ module (like NI9213).

Call your local sales rep to suggest a module!

GerdW
