ROI of the 1D barcode reader

Hi, recently i am using the 1D barcode reader provided by the LabView Vision Development Module... and i found out that it's somehow a bit difficult to determine the ROI...

As we know we need to provide enough quiet zone for the barcode reader.... but somehow in some case i cant decode my code by using the lab view example...

can anyone tell me is there any limitation for the 1D barcode reader?
