Questions about reading waveform from TDS3054C oscilloscope.

Hi There,

I am trying to use Labview 8.5 to read waveform from a new TDS 3054C oscilloscope, i downloaded the driver package (TDS 3000 series.....VI) from NI, and I use readwaveform.VI, however, I got an error message: “TDS time out, no listener...” I have verified the address is correct: “GPIB0::1::INSTR”I use USB-GPIB interface, so is that an issue for this case? Thanks. Mike

My first thought is to use MAX to verify that your PC sees the scope.  That's usually the problem -- but not always.

Yup, follow Matt's advice.

Open up MAX and go to Interactive Control and make sure you can query a "*idn?"
