That's pretty tricky to do. The standard file dialog doesn't give this control and writing a complete custom dialog is maybe something Microsoft can do as they can and will likely make sure that a new Windows version will keep working with older Office platforms for a while, but is a sure way for non Microsoft developers to cause future incompatibilities with new Windows features. And then you have the user complain about that too.
