Print from LABVIEW to printer TSC TA210 using ZPL commands

Hi,

I'm new to LABVIEW and I'm using LABVIEW (version.10.0.1).

I would like to ask about how can I write my commands that can connect to this printer?

Is there any available vi can be sent as references?

Hope can be solved as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

olyueem

You need to create a sample *.prn (printer) file then open it in labview. Make your required changes in text from the *.prn file then send it through serial port along with the zpl commands to the printer to print.

Hello olyueem

A litle bit late but maybe it helps some one....

I have a TSC TX600 Printer an I create the Layout of my labels with the free software "Bartender".

You can download a free Version from TSC "TSC BarTender UltraLite".

If you go to File->Print you can say there to print into a file. You can modify this genereated File like you want an send it then via LabVIEW (TCP/IP) to the Printer.

What do you want your label to look like. Generally the most efficient way to print the label is to send the ZPL directly to the printer and bypass the driver. How do you plan to communicate with the printer? Is it via serial, USB or network? USB communications get a bit more complex if you want to do that directly from LabVIEW.

I am not familiar with this brand of printer but am very familiar with ZPL and Zebra printers.

Since USB can be tough to use you could still send direct ZPL to the printer through the print driver. You would just need to make sure you specify it is a raw data connection. I have not done this very often as I generally communicate directly with the printer.
