PXI-6052E reading 0.00 on AI channels

I have a PXI1031 with an 8045RT controller card (ethernet) and a PXI-6052E DAQ card. I am running LabView realtime code on this PXI system. I am reading AI0 to AI14, and the data is returning as 0 always (created indicator on array of 15 elements all containing 0.00, not an uninitialized array). There are no VI errors I have traced and probed everything. I am using the traditional DAQ drivers. Has anyone experienced this or know what causes it? Also the Digital IO works fine, a mystery. Thanks

We probably need more detail to be able to help.  However, there are a few things that you can try first.  First, you need to make sure that you can read the signal in MAX to rule out hardware problems.  Second, you can use one of the example file in LabVIEW for your data acquisition and see what happen.

you cannot read test panels in MAX on a remote DAQ afaik .. also this traditional DAQ ai scan returns "no data acquisition" on the status

Has this device ever worked for you, or is it new?  What kinds of measurements are you making?  Have you tried running one of the Traditional DAQ examples found in the NI Example Finder under Browse (According to Directory Structure)»daq? More detail would definitely be helpful!  Thanks!

This code has worked before and the only change is i flipped the IP RESET switch on the PXI to move it into a new subnet. More information...... the only information I can give you is that I'm connecting to this PXI and uploading RT code, its running, and polling DI channels, AI channels, and one AO channel, the DI works fine, the AI does not. The AI Scan status returns "no data acquisition". I have not changed any code at all. This is LabVIEW 6.1 using traditional DAQ drivers.

I am taking straight voltage measurements.

i eliminated the timeout error, now its still doing the 0.00 data and returning no errors. all is pointing to the DAQ card which I'm about to swap.

Hi bkb,

I'm sorry to hear that your card has heat damage.  However, with the second card that is getting error -10401, you'll want to take a look at THIS KB.  If this KB doesn't address your issue, can you please also post the error message associated with -10401, it appears that error can happen from a number of reasons.  Hope this helps!
