PWM with NI-USB 94xx?

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello everybody,

i asked already once about creating PWM with NI Hardware. And i was satisfied with the answer. But now i have found Hardware Series NI-USB 94xx. These are High-Voltage-Digital I/O Hardware. If someone of you have already experienced with this one, would like to hear your conclusion about them. Would be also appreciated if you could answer my question:
Is it possible to create a PWM Signal with NI-USB 94xx?

Thanks,

Grigory

This answers to your question.

Edited: This solution is very specific to RIO.

As i see its also describes that the Module NI USB-9472 is also in their list. And this one works just with Software + USB-Connection. Still i suppose its also possible to programm them with DAQmx, right?

Actually it is confusing to me...!!
My previous reply I mentioned, 'Specific to RIO', reason being:

NI - 9401

(for reference click here)

Now the confusing part is, if you check the above link and navigate to the specification tab, you'll see there are no counters available in the device.

NI 9401 - No counters available

On the other hand, when I'm simulating the device, I'm able to see FOUR COUNTERS and TWO PFI LINES.... Smiley Surprised

thats really confusing, don't have any of those modules at the moment on hands, so can't test this on my own.

I would be more interested in the USB-Connection Module NI-USB 9472. Becouse this is the only one that would fit my application. Probably its just normal DAQmx programmable one, since it only needs Module and Software for it. Any experiences with that only already? would really like to know!

Thanks

What is you application?

Why don't you choose something in this list.

If your requirement is PWM signal output of say 24 volts... you can also plan to use a custom intermediate circuit, not only to scale the device output signal (to 24 volts) but also to drive following circuit.
