Hello, well i have an Ethernet chassis NI 9184 with sensors connected to its sub-modules. I have to acquire data from a solar cell through LAN and server, i.e. i need to connect to a server (from a PC) with Lab View installed and and then acquire my data, I want to know how to connect my chassis in order to acquire these data. What are the procedures for the server to recognize the chassis so that i can successfully acquire the data?

Does your server have a transparent IP address visible from the internet? Try to ping its IP address from your PC. So your Ethernet cDAQ device connects to this server. Usually these servers distribute local IP address to the connected units in the LAN. I imagine, you could setup a DynDNS service, so you can reach the cDAQ module from the internet...
Here is more info, it is about remote front panels, but the networking info still valid for this case too...

When i connect the chassis to my PC directly using the Ethernet cable, i am able to add the device through NI MAX and acquire my data. However, once i connect the chassis in the same network as my PC through a router/switch (for e.g in the network 172.22.31.0),i am unable to add the device in NI MAX even when the chassis is configured to get an IP address through DHCP. I tried static IP addressing. It shows the status "disconnected". Therefore i can't do any data acquisition.

Did you follow this guide? : http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/AC929F0881D9178A862578B000586491
What happens if you ping the IP of your cDAQ unit from your PC? Maybe there is some firewall issue?
