Odd timings while using the time loop

I am having problems with the "Timed Loop". Even on a simple vi I cannot get the timings to be consistant.

I opened up a new vi and put a time loop with a Read From Feild point connected to a time stamp. The loop is set to 5000ms (5sec). The time stamp however sometimes does not change or it will, but not in intervels of 5 seconds.

on which OS or platform is your vi running? Is it real time?

Windows Vista Home Premium (SP1) and LabVIEW 8.5.1. Yes using a cFP-2120 with cFP-TC-120 & cFP-CB-3

Hi Chaz,

where is the vi running, on your Windows System or on your cFP? You need a real time system to get real time values.

Thanks for quick responce. It is running on the Windows system. I am fairly new to this... 😞

If it helps ~ Currently got the cFP wired via ethernet to the pc, using static ip.
