OPC UA Certificate Store Failure on cDAQ-9133 Linux RT

I am seeing the following error when I try to initialize the OPCUA server on my cDAQ.

Error -356705 occurred at NI OPC UA Utility.lvlib:Create Certificate.vi

Possible reason(s):

OPC UA Toolkit: Failed to create certificate store because access is denied.

I understand that the OPCUA Create Certificate attempts to create files in the following directory:

/files/var/local/natinst/certstore/opcua/Default OPC UA.der

/files/var/local/natinst/certstore/opcua/Default OPC UA.pem

For some reason the creation of these file is denied or is inhibited.

Hi viScience,

I think this problem may be caused by the write permission is not opened for the folder of opcua.

Thanks!

I agree with you, it is probably a file permission issue but I have no idea why.  I have 2 other cDAQ-9133 chassis and they are working properly.

I wanted to add that on the cDAQ that is not working the cert. directory is seen as

/files/var/local/natinst/certstore

There is no opcua subdirectory present.

Hi viScience,

If you correctly install the OPC UA Toolkits, there should be the opcua folder in the path /files/var/local/natinst/certstore. I would suggest that you formatting the cDAQ and test again.

Thanks!
