Number of DMA-channels on a PC limited?

Hello!

I want to measure 6 frequencies quite precisely using the 2 DMA-channels of a PCI-6602 and 2 PCI-6221 respectively, installed in 1 PC with LabVIEW 8.6.1 on WIN XP.

Is this possible or is the number of DMA-channels on 1 PC limited by anything?

There must be a limit at some point right?  I mean you can't have 1,000 DMAs all getting data from different DAQ cards and expect to be able to keep up.  I guess I've just never had more then 3 at a time but always assumed the bottle neck was at the DAQ card and that having 4 would be fine for the PC.
