Ni-Sync 3.0 with Labview 2015

I need to use NI-SYNC 3.0 so that I can generate 1588 v1 packets.  When I try to install 3.0 with Labview 2015 none of the NI-Sync VIs show up in Labview.  is there a way to get these VI to work with 2015?  Alternatly is there a way to get an older version of Labview that will work with 3.0?

Why don't you use NI-Sync 15 if you want LabVIEW 2015 compatibility? Version 3.0 is several years old.

Talk to your local Sales Engineer about old versions of LabVIEW.

Versions of NI-SYNC newer than 3.0 only support IEEE 1588 v 2.  I need to test some hardware using IEEE 1588 v1 so I need to run it using NI-SYNC 3.0.

What you can do is install an older version of the NI-Sync LabVIEW support and copy the files over to LabVIEW 2015. See the following thread for more details:

Unfortuantly I do not have an older version of Labview to copy from.  If I did I would just use that as I do not need any thing in 2015.  it's just the version i have and there does not seem to be any older versions available.

You don't need an older version of LabVIEW installed for this approach to work. Re-run the NI Sync 3.0 installer and manually turn on one of the LabVIEW Support features. (I'd go with the latest version, 8.5.) The installer will place the required files in c:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\... Copy those files to your LabVIEW 2015 directory, then mass compile.

I was able to get the older VIs as you suggested but they did not work with Labview 2015.  Everytime I tried to open one it would crash.  I tracked down version 8.5 of Labview and it worked fine.
