Newton-rapson solving

Has anyone inplemented a solver simlilar to that in Excel that solves an
equation (pref. the result of an VI) in LV? I would be much obliged if I
could get a copy.

If you have LV5.1, it is included in the mathematics palette along
with ODE solvers, and lots lots more. If you don't have 5.1 yet,
it is available as an add-on toolkit called the G-Math toolkit.

This might be just the excuse I need to upgrade 🙂 Where can I find a
complete list of all the mathmatics functions in 5.1?

You might check the 5.1 white paper. I didn't see a description of
the functions expanded, but if you can find a flier or promo item
for the G Math toolkit, it is virtually the same.

I already had. There's no complete list of functions, strangely. They should
put the help file on the website, all we need to know is in there.

Ferry,

For now the best place to get a function list is to download the
Function and VI Reference Manual for LabVIEW. It's available as a PDF
format file at:
http://digital.natinst.com/manuals.nsf/7aba4d4ed8d9fa958625663500505c98/c9861f451aec8ef48625665e006358a4?OpenDocument

In the near future, you can find a complete function list
and other
information related to signal processing and analysis at the following
site:

http://www.natinst.com/analysis

Good Luck with your application,
