Newbie need help - Pressure transducer

Hello, I'm using an omega px602 pressure transducer. I already made the panel & diagram but can't get the reading I'm looking for.
Reading are all in mV
Here's some info on my transducer:
Excitation: 10Vdc (5-10vdc Limit @ 6mA max)
Range: 100psig
Output: 100mV
Sensitivity: 10mV/V
Impedance: 100ohms

I'm not sure if I need more to add like voltage amp.

The specifications you listed indicate that the output is 100 mV, so you should get 1 mV/psi.

What kind of data acquisition device do you have? Some devices have built in amplifiers.

I'm using PCI-6024E and BNC 2110.

The PCI-6024 has ranges of +/-10, 5, 0.5, and 0.05 volts. For your 100 mV transducer try the +/-0.5 V range. The specified resolution is 0.846 mV on that range. This is equivalent to less than 1 psi.

Please note that this transducer has a sensitivity of 10mV per Volt of excitation.   That means that 5V excitation will produce 50mV output @ 100 psi.  10V excitation will produce 100mV @ 100 psi.  For the most accurate measurements, you need to use one AI to read the excitation voltage to the transducer.  You can then use that reading to calculate what full scale would be and then you can calculate your actual psi.

You might start by using Test Panel to check the actual voltage from sensor and make sure it makes sense.  Then you can figure out your scaling and conversion to psi.

Now its working but  signal is sluggish.
Do I need to filter the signal in order for me to get accurate reading?

I'm not sure what you mean by sluggish.  The transducer you are using is really just a strain gauge. If your AI has builtin filtering available, play around with the various settings and see which one works best.  I also suggest taking several readings and averaging them.  If you are monitoring pressure of a liquid, pressure snubber may be necessary.

Have you been able to get a suscessful prototyle in max using global virtual channels.  No programming needed.  you can even call these channels from labview.
