I am reinstalling everything on a new computer. so this morning I go to get LV2018 and find this new download page
https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview.html
Okay that's nice and easy...
Except after I chose the version and hit the Download button NOTHING HAPPENS.
Is there some special browser plug-in I need to make this work?
Solved! Go to Solution.

It works for me with Firefox and Edge (Chrome is not installed).

Well look at that it does work in Edge. I guess NI's website developers have never heard of W3C Standards
A web page should look and work the same in ALL browsers without any special plugins or extensions!

I wanted to download the runtime engine yesterday and after much searching on the NI site got to that page too. Turned out you had to provide an SSP even if you just wanted the runtime engine. Reported it and they promised to fix it.
The page did not recognize that my online account is coupled with license so it would not let me download anything. Went to the page to see our license status where it wanted me to buy an extension of our active multi seat license for another year Of course I'm not entitled to do that.
And then found a link on there that promised to get me to the Software Service Center where I could download all existing software, except that link was dead!
That's were I resolved to simply googling for the runtime engine which eventually brought me to a page that let me download the damn thing from the NI site. That the search option is abominable on the NI site we all know for 20 years now. But that their shiny new pages are less and less functional is something of the last 5 years.
I'm not getting consistent results now, either I get a page where all is selectable but nothing happens when pressing the download button or I'm on a page where I can only download 2019 and the patches. Shiny new database connected website design is showing its ugly head.

For LabView 2018, there's still this one online:
http://www.ni.com/download/labview-development-system-2018-sp1/7846/en/
you need to be logged in with your NI account and hit the hilighted link:
"I am a current user of LabVIEW Development System"
to obtain 2018SP1LV-WinGer.exe
I can not find the equivalent for LabView 2019
so, NI decided to change the way to distribute LabView?
However, at :
https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview.html
there's a bit hidden downloadlink to an .iso file, which looks like this:
ni-labview-2019-x86-de_19.0.0_offline.iso
