New ASRL not added when device plugged in

Hi,
I have a VISA problem.  I am connecting to a serial port on another computer using a keyspan USB to serial converter.  The operating system is OSX 10.4.8.  The keyspan is detected by the system profiler.  When I got to create a "VISA constant" I only get the option to use ASRL1::INSTR.  Are there some files I am missing that would allow it to be able to detect the keyspan?  I used another mac, same specs, and was able to run the program fine.  It detected the keyspan and allowed me to choose the right ASRL.  I tried to manually tell labview the number, but I kept getting errors indicating it was not detecting the keyspan.  Is there away to tell LabVIEW that the keyspan is there?

Hey Adam,

I was curious to what the latest VISA driver is that you have? If you don't have 4.0, you may want to try updating the driver.

Visa 4.0 for Mac OSX

I'm curious to know what the VISA driver is of you current computer, and that of the other computer that works.
