Hello,

I've found only the 8648A driver. You'll find it here. You've to check if it works with the D version too! Have you check on Agilents website?
Main Page for instrument drivers: here

Hope this helps

Luca

Luca has a great suggestion. I took a quick look at the user manual for the 8648 series and it appears that you should have no problem using this driver with the 8648D. You may have to set ID Query to False in the Initialize VI.

Please confirm if you have success using this driver with the 8648D so that we can update the driver record in the Instrument Driver Network to reflect this.

Thanks,
Jason Hobbs

Any update on this one tried the wire ID quiery to false, didn't work. I am having same problem. Plugged in an 8648D to a system that has been running a 8648A for years and it does not work. Intrument talks but then does not set up the correct output as expexted. I wonder if there is a difference from the A version to the D version.

As you have probably already determined, the A and D versions have the same programming manual and aside from the differences of the output range, they would appear to be compatible. You might want to issue the SYST:LANG command to make sure it is set to SCPI mode and not 8656/7 mode.
