Need Basic Help - Closing a VI

(Oops)
From the front panel I call another VI. However, I don't want the front
panel open
anymore. How do I close it? (and is this where someone needs to explain
how
to use reference numbers?)

Thanks for any help.. Amie

Hello,

choose 'Current VI's Path' from 'File I/O' / 'File Constants' Palette and
connect it to the vi-path input of 'Open VI Reference.VI' (Palette
Application Control).
Select the 'Poperty Node' (Palette Application Control) and build a chain
with the Open VI Reference using the vi-reference and error out/in. Using
the right mouse button pop up menu you navigate to Properties/Front Panel
Window/Open and change the node to write. If you don't need the vi reference
anymore, extend the chain with the 'Close Application or VI Reference.vi'.
Assigning a "false" value to this property node, your window will disappear
immediately, until you assign true to that node. If you want the window to
become the frontmost as it is opened, you'll find also a matching property
in
the pop-up menues.
